Greg and Tee Westbrook founded Shop Black Fest in 2019, hosting vendor markets for over 600 Black-owned businesses not only in Nashville, but across the US.

The tour has been hugely successful, expanding its lineup from 6 cities in 2021 to 13 cities in its 2022 tour, and in 2023, the Westbrooks hope to channel that momentum and enthusiasm into Black-owned businesses in the 5 cities.

Black-owned small businesses were impacted disproportionately by the pandemic, suffering primarily from loss of revenue and temporary closures, as reported by the Small Business Trends Alliance and the House Small Business Committee. The Wedge Market is an opportunity to help those businesses rebound in 2022.

“During the pandemic, we helped hundreds of Black-owned small businesses generate over $300K in revenue in just one year, and we’re especially proud of that,” said Greg Westbrook. Tee Westbrook added, “Now we can create an even bigger impact with our weekly market.”
